North Seattle Surgery Center
At Northwest Hospital & Medical Center, the North Seattle Surgery Center (NSSC) serves the patient who has surgery and returns home on the same
day. This allows for minimal disruption in your personal routine and promotes
rest and recovery in the comfort of your own home.
Located at 10330 Meridian Ave. North, and accessible from I-5, the staff at
the NSSC is committed to helping our patients return to their normal health
as early as possible.
Your Surgical Experience
Prior to surgery, you will be given specific instructions by your physician
and the pre-admission nurse that you need to follow. If these instructions are
not followed, the surgery may have to be postponed.
During your visit to the NSSC, a family member or friend can be with you in
the pre-surgical area before surgery and in the recovery area after the surgery.
We welcome the opportunity to include this person when we explain how you should
care for yourself at home.
When you are ready to go home, your physician or nurse will give specific instructions
on how to care for yourself at home and who to call if you have problems. A
NSSC nurse will call you within 48 hours of your return home to follow-up on
your recovery.
